Spring 2015 at Paloma Valley High School
I am spending the Spring 2015 semester at Paloma Valley High School, teaching 10th-grade World History in Coach David McCoy's class. I am currently in the middle of teaching a unit on World War II and the Holocaust.
I started the semester with the causes, course and consequences of World War I, followed a unit on the rise of dictatorships in Europe between the wars.
Paloma Valley has provided me with the tremendous opportunity to integrate technology into my instruction and planning, as every student on campus is provided with a Chromebook and the entire campus is connected to wireless Internet. I am a strong believer that this sort of universal access to technology is the future of education and vital to helping students prepare for their own futures.
